Abstract

In addition to Chamaesyce and Poinsettia, another segregate genus from Euphorbia recognized by some workers is Tithymalus Gaertn., which embraces most of the species of Euphorbia sens. lat. familiar to North Temperate field botanists. However, since many workers still prefer to retain a broad concept of Euphorbia in the Linnaean sense, it is necessary that new combinations should be made for any new species and names which are assigned by their authors to Tithymalus.
