Abstract

AbstractASEAN member states can also use China’s poverty alleviation as a best practice by providing more China–ASEAN personnel exchanges and connectivity projects. In other words, a guiding agency and a platform to disseminate information are required to make that reach the community level. Every country must be self-developed, maintain its uniqueness and identity, grow with style and independence, be inclusive to the new generation, be open to new technology, and build, along with other ASEAN countries, a relation network with China. This paper aims to propose the guidelines which ASEAN can get adapted to or adjust and better respond to the increasing case studies or guidelines on poverty alleviation investment. In accordance with the goals of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the guideline of “seeking mutual benefits through open learning”, a real, new and creative cooperation is wanted so that the cooperation achievements can be shared by both parties (China–ASEAN) peacefully.KeywordsChina–ASEANPoverty alleviationNew cooperationMutual benefitsBelt and Road Initiative
