Abstract
Several factors are driving rapid changes in healthcare: uncertainty over healthcare reform, cost pressures from a weakened economy, rapid change due to the influx of information technologies, and preparation for the H1N1 flu pandemic. In response to this changing environment, medical technology professionals are adding new goals for 2010 aimed at improving efficiency and demonstrating the value of themselves and their departments.
