Abstract
Developments in reproductive technology, notably in vitro fertilization and artificial insemination using donor sperm, are occurring at a rapid rate. Research into the psychosocial aspects of these developments has been minimal, as has been the contribution of social workers to this research. This paper reports the author's research and discusses a number of issues that have emerged as a result of a social work attempt to investigate the psychosocial factors.
