Abstract
The purpose of this manual is to standardize the state of practice in underwater inspections, to improve the technical proficiency of the work and to enhance the value to the owners of facilities through improved efficiency. The seven distinct types of inspection include: new construction inspection; baseline inspection; routine inspection; repair design inspection; special inspection; repair construction inspection, and post event inspection. Also defined are minimum qualifications of inspection personnel and standardized condition ratings.
