Abstract

The problems of local sanation of lung cavitary formations of nonspecific etiology in children and the methods directed to their fast healing are considered. The results of the treatment of 421 children with single cavitary formations of lungs are analyzed, and it is concluded that the effective treatment of single purulent cavities of lungs in children requires the combined use of bronchoscopic sanation and small surgery methods. The developed complex treatment method of cavitary formations of lungs (127 patients) makes it possible to restrict the indications to radical operations and to reduce the terms of cavity obliteration
