Abstract
Abstract β-Keto carbodiimides (3) have been synthesized by reacting 2-azido ketones (1) with triphenylphosphine in the presence of isocyanates/isothiocyanates; the former compounds (3) are readily transformed into 2-amino-1,3-oxazoles (4).
