Abstract
In standard BEM formulations for some types of boundary conditions (Dirichlet at corner nodes, junction point of interfaces of more than two substructures), the number of unknowns exceeds the number of equations. The approach proposed in this paper is to supplement the classical BEM equations with an appropriate number of discretized hypersingular equations. A simple and efficient method of calculating hypersingular integrals is described. Numerical examples are included.
