Abstract

The published manuscript by Green et al. [1], addresses an aspect of preventive cardiology that may have the beginning of an answer that is crucial in our efforts to get people, who have had a sedentary lifestyle. The authors compared the impact of low level exercise on two different arterial regions. Both the popliteal and the brachial arteries were chosen to assess the wall thickness and lumen diameter using quantitative assessment methods in 15 young subjects (average age 25 years) and 16 older sedentary people (average age 59 years).
