Abstract

Arriving at Northwestern University in the fall of 1967 to begin graduate studies in geography, I had little notion of what lay in store for me and my classmates. We were, in short, destined to become quantitatively revolutionized by some of Bill Garrison's most devoted space cadets. Never an enthusiastic soldier in this particular revolution, I have come to value as well as to question much of what we call spatial analysis. My remarks reflect on this quixotic development and on reconciling spatial analysis and feminist geography.
