Abstract

Neutron scattering from rhodium, cadmium and 239Pu has been measured in the energy region below 1400 eV using two 6Li glass scintillators as the neutron detectors and a large-diameter liquid-scintillator detector as an anti-coincidence mantle to reduce background from capture and fission events. Spin assignments and parameter determinations have been made for seven resonances in Rh, five resonances in Cd and eight resonances in 239Pu. In addition, values of the ratio Γ n Γ have been obtained for ten resonances in Cd from 300 to 1400 eV. Where comparisons could be made, these results are in good agreement with other experimental results.
