Abstract

A neutron quasi-elastic investigation of the plastic phase of a randomly orientated sample of n-nonadecane shows good agreement with a simple continuous rotational diffusion model of the molecule about its long axis. No quasi-elastic broadening is observed in the lower temperature phase.
