Abstract
The crystallographic and magnetic structures of Er 2Fe 17N 4.5 at room temperature were refined by Rietveld analysis of neutron diffraction data. We found that Er 2Fe 17N 4.5 has a Th 2Ni 17-type structure and the nitrogen atoms occupy both 6h and 12i sites simultaneously with occupancies of 0.83 and 0.33 respectively.
