Abstract

Abstract The (3He, α) reactions have been performed at 13.0 MeV bombarding energy from a target consisting of approximately equal amounts of the five stable even calcium isotopes. Angular distributions for the strongest l n = 3(1 f 7 2 ) , l n = 2( ld 3 2 ) , and l n = 0(2 s 7 2 ) transitions were measured and analysed using the distorted-wave Born approximation. Optical-model parameters were obtained from 13.0 MeV 3He elastic-scattering measurements. An isospin term in the neutron bound-state potential was used in the analysis. Spectroscopic factors were extracted and are compared with other reported values.
