Abstract
Titanium sponge and shavings have been brought into contact with deuterium gas at various pressures and temperatures. Neutron intensities were measured with up to four NE-213 liquid scintillator detectors. No neutrons were found with an upper limit for the neutron source strength of 0.6 n/s, normalized to a titanium mass of 100 g.
