Abstract
Various forms of neutron interferometers have been developed and studied and a brief review of these will be presented. These systems differ in their spatial coherence distribution and although a geometrical ray optics treatment is generally successful in accounting for observations, this is not always the case and here a more sophisticated Huvgen's wave propagation treatment is called for. This is illustrated in some recent experimentation with slits limiting the flow of neutron radiation through the sytem.
