Abstract

The differences between the neutron distributions of nickel isotopes were determined by the single-particle potential method using single particle wavefunctions determined by the sub-Coulomb (d,p) reaction and occupation numbers deduced from one-neutron transfer reactions at higher energies. The RMS radii of single particle orbits of valence neutrons, the RMS radii of excess neutrons and of the neutron distribution differences were determined.
