Abstract

The neutron profile refinement of Ca 1.1BaLaCu 3O 7− gd ( T c=71K) shows that it has an orthorhombic structure, similar to that of YBa 2Cu 3O 7 ( Pramm, a= 3.886(3) A ̊ , c= 11.660(8) A ̊ ) . The corresponding Y-sites are occupied by La- and Ca-ions in 0.31:0.69 proportion, while the Ba-sites are occupied by Ba-, La- and Ca-ions in the proportion 0.50:0.14:0.36. The structure of Ca 1.1BaLaCu 2.8Zn 0.2O 7− δ ( T c=30 K) is also presented.
