Abstract
Neutron diffraction pole figure measurements have been applied for meteoritic studies on hexahedritic and octahedritic iron-nickel meteorites. Two hexahedrite specimen have been proven to be monocrystals with twinning along {211}. An octahedrite originating from Gibeon has been characterized by α-iron-lamellae and γ-iron-rims. The orientation relationship is of the Nishiyama-Wassermann type with a preference of eight out of twelve possible variants.
