Abstract
Total cross sections for the reactions nu e+12C to 12C*+ nu e and nu mu +12C to 12C*+ nu mu are calculated for incoming lepton energies from threshold to 200 MeV. The flux-weighted total cross section for these are obtained and the effect of various form factors and possibility of obtaining information from these reactions is considered in detail.
