Abstract

Considering flaws of neutral speed stability control law owing to using the PID controller in modern aircraft, the control law is redesigned using fractional order PIλDμ controller. Firstly, fractional order calculus definition is introduced. Secondly, merits of PIλDμ controller are analyzed via comparing with PID controller; based on Oustaloup approximation algorithm analysis and modification, fractional order Laplace operator module is developed and the fractional order PIλ controller is designed. Finally, PIλ controller is applied to design the neutral speed stability control law. Simulation results show that the fractional order PIλ controller can improve aircraft's neutral speed stability performances.
