Highlights
A multivariate regression model found no difference between management groups with respect to the PROMIS‐10 physical or mental health dimensions, the SF‐36 Physical or Mental Component Summary scores, or the Penn Acoustic Neuroma Quality‐of‐Life (PANQOL) general, anxiety, hearing, or energy subdomains
stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) treatment or observation resulted in a better total PANQOL score and higher PANQOL facial, balance, and pain subdomain scores than the microsurgical cohort (P < 0.02)
The nontumor control group and patients with vestibular schwannomas (VSs) had a greater difference in scores than the differences observed between individual treatment groups for the majority of measures
Summary
Neurosurgery Concepts: Key perspectives on C2 nerve root transection following C1 lateral mass screw fixation, choroid plexus cauterization in infants with hydrocephalus, quality of life following treatment of vestibular schwannoma, dynamic magnetic resonance imaging for glioblastoma pseudoprogression, cost-utility analysis of lumbar spinal stenosis treatment
