Abstract

Image-guided interventions in neuroradiology play an integral role in both the diagnosis and treatment of many oncologic conditions. This article reviews the range of image-guided interventions performed by neuroradiology as part of the care team for patients with cancer, with a specific discussion of indications and techniques for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. These interventions aid in the diagnosis, presurgical planning, and treatment of primary and metastatic diseases in the head, neck, and spine as well as contribute to the management of neuropathic cancer-related pain.Learning Objective: To identify the range of image-guided interventions performed by neuroradiologists as part of the oncologic care team, including indications and techniques for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
