Abstract Following a brief review of medical facts, neuropsychological disturbances in hydrocephalic children are reviewed. An understanding of their impairments may help establish better educational and rehabilitation programmes for these children. Specific guidelines for teaching strategies are offered when the child demonstrates non-verbal information processing deficits versus suspected verbal retrieval deficits.
