Abstract

The neuronal organisation of the flight motor pattern in the cricket was investigated using electromyographic and intracellular recording and staining techniques with two objectives: (a) to compare neuromuscular control of the forewings during cricket flight and stridulation, and (b) to provide data for comparison with the well characterised locust flight system.
