Abstract

This publication is a landmark because it is the first systematic exposure of an approach to diagnosis and management of learning problems in children written by a pediatric neurologist. It, therefore, deserves careful critical attention. The author details his neurological examination techniques, discusses the concept of a brain damage behavioral syndrome, examines hyperactivity, minimal brain dysfunction, and developmental dyslexia, discusses other etiological conditions, then ends with chapters on general management and a diagnostic classification system.
