Abstract

As a critique of C. Escera (2004) target paper Aproximacion historica y conceptual a la Neurociencia Cognitiva, several points are accrued to diminish his claim to consider Cognitive Neuroscience as the paradigm that will definitevely collect and resolve longlasting traditions of research at the mind/brain intersection. Cognitive Neuroscience is a powerful and exciting program of research that has opened new paths to explore the aforementioned intersection, contributing in this way to bridge the gap between mainstream Neurosciences and Psychology. This is enough in itself indeed without any need to demand particular status.
