Patients who lived too far from Duke to participate in the weekly treatments formed the usual-care control group. This strategy is supported by the correlation of the rate of speech hesitation pauses of 1 second, 4.79 ± 2.48/min, 1.50 ± 0.33 second (mean ± SD), behavioral correlates of mood, with the state of the circulation (angina/hypertension), sixfold coronary incidence in 2 groups of men with normal coronary structure followed prospectively for 10 years (p <0.05), immobility in the face of stress, and an increase in planning difficulty. 2 Friedman E.H.
