Abstract

In order to better characterize 1/$f$ noise in superconducting qubits, the authors propose a spectroscopic technique in which a qubit is used to probe its surroundings. They show that a single measurement of coherence is enough to infer information about impurities in the environment, and that neural networks can learn to predict the relationship between these impurities and the qubit dynamics.
