Abstract
The 26th annual United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of Parties (COP26) meeting, to be hosted in Glasgow in November, will set out current progress and mobilize future efforts in limiting the potentially devastating effects of climate change. This year’s meeting will be an opportunity to update plans from the historic COP21 meeting in 2015, which delivered the Paris Agreement, and a commitment by every country to ensure global warming is limited to below 2°C, compared with pre-industrial levels, to adapt to the impacts of a changing climate and to ensure there is sufficient financing to deliver these targets.
