Abstract

Nerve-sheath myxoma (NSM) is a benign tumor of peripheral nerves,’ which was first described by Harkin and Reed2 in 1969. In 1980, Gallager and Helwig3 used the term neurothekeoma for the same tumor. The lesion is often located in the dermis and subcutis of the head and neck region and the shoulders.’ Intraoral NSM is extremely rare. We describe a case of NSM of the posterior hard palate, and review all previously reported intraoral lesions.
