Abstract

Nephrology is an exciting and dynamic field of study, though its complexity can be daunting for new trainees. The complexity of nephrology patients and topics and perceived poor work-life balance are cited as reasons medical trainees have excluded nephrology as a career option [1]. The challenges of learning new clinical knowledge and skillsets are not unique to nephrology, and most training programs will have an orientation for new learners, which may include a “boot camp” [2].
