Abstract
Nephrin is a protein identified in the glomerular podocyte slit diaphragm; therefore, the presence of nephrin in urine implies damage to podocytes. Nephrin has been widely studied in nephropathies and glomerular diseases in adults. This study aimed to determine the efficacy of nephrin as a biomarker in maternal urine for the prediction of preeclampsia.
