Abstract

The species Fusarium anguioides is discussed and the problems resulting from the lack of type or culture material are described. The reasons for neo- typification and emending the species description are the absence of type or culture material and the illus- trations of polyphialides in the original description. The neotype chosen for F. anguioides is a culture from soil from a bamboo grove from China and the neotype and isoneotype have been deposited. Lyophilized cul? tures have been deposited in appropriate culture col? lections.
