Abstract

Adequate glucose monitoring and control is essential in pregestational diabetes mellitus (PGDM) as these patients are at increased risk for preterm birth and adverse neonatal outcomes while pregnant. Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), a more convenient alternative to traditional glucose monitoring (TGM) that offers more data, is being used more frequently by PGDM patients. This study’s objective was to assess whether glucose monitoring modality (TGM vs CGM) impacts neonatal outcomes.
