Abstract

In this month's issue of NeoReviews , we are publishing the first of a series of articles by Dr Willa Drummond, whose interest in informatics is long standing. In addition to being an academic neonatologist, she has a higher degree in informatics and serves on the Executive Steering Committee of the Council on Clinical Information Technology (COCIT) of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The pace of progress in the field of informatics seems to be increasing rapidly, and many questions are being directed at COCIT from AAP members.
