Abstract
Neomegalotomus new genus is erected for the Neotropical species hitherto included in Megalotomus Fieber. The type species is Neomegalotomus parvus (Westwood); the other included species are N. latifascia (Berg) and N. rufipes (Westwood). Megalotomus (s.s.) is now Holarctic. Neomegalotomus is described, and its distribution and affinities briefly discussed.
