Abstract
Some levels of the Lower Devonian in the Jauf Formation (Lochkovian-Emsian) of the Al-Huj region northeasternSaudi Arabia have yielded remains belonging to acanthodians, chondrichthyans and sarcopterygians, but the most abundant are placoderms remains. Among them occur in the Emsian of the Hammamiyat Member the relatively well-preserved remains of a new rhenanid characterized by a well-developed dermal palate.
