Abstract

Unsure of his career path as a history major coming out of college, Tim Smalarz ended up not having to look very far to identify his first job. He was hired to a position that his brother previously had held at Thomas Jefferson University, as a frontline coordinator in the Registrar's Office. His boss there consistently encouraged him to join the registrar profession permanently, and the thought began to energize him.
