Abstract
Blockchain technology has been introduced in last decade and have achieved a lot of interest from lots of region like energy, cyber security, banking, cryptocurrency etc. This paper gives an overview about application of blockchain in healthcare data management and protection. The ledger technology helps healthcare researchers by facilitating them secure transfer of patient’s medical records. As the ledgers would be saved on a decentralized database, security of confidential genetic code can be ensured. More over with facility of digital of digital signatures in blockchain, patient centric ledgers can be verified.
