Abstract

In memory of Ned Ostenso, who died on April 13, a public service fund has been established. Ned served AGU tirelessly for many years and was instrumental in starting the public affairs program. He served as chairman of the Public Affairs Committee, served as a member of the Budget and Finance Committee, and chaired the ad hoc Real Estate Committee that oversaw the construction of the AGU Headquarters building. Donations to the Ned A. Ostenso Public Service Fund will be used to strengthen AGU's role in public information, education, and other areas of public service.
