Abstract

Necâti Bey is one of the poets who had important contributions in the development of XV. Century Ottoman Poetry. He influenced the Ottoman Poetry even after his lifetime with enthusiastic and affectionate odes, and parallel poems were written for his poems. He had important contributions in the formation of the Classical Ottoman Poetry. The language he used and the poetic themes he made use of come to the front line with the depictions he made.In this study, one of the odes in the NecâtiBey Anthology (Rhyme- Repeated sounds: …ânun, senun (i.e. his/her, your)) is elucidated. The meaning of elucidation in the dictionary is “opening, explaining, clarifying, expanding, separating, splitting”. The purpose of the elucidation of the text is to make the difficult-to-understand texts understandable for the reader. The Ottoman Poetry has a specific artistic viewpoint and has some mutual structures. These structures are never abandoned. One of the most important of these structures is the triangle of “the lover, the beloved, and the love”. Sometimes the “rival” is also added to these elements. The poet of the Ottoman Poetry is always in love. The beloved is always disloyal and long-suffering. The main theme of the odes is love. In the odes of Necâti, the lover, who is as beautiful as an elf, fascinates the poet with her walking and all her beauty elements. At the end of the ode, the poet complains about not meeting his beloved one. He mentions the disloyalty of the beloved one.
