Abstract
The article is devoted to the issue of minimizing the impact of impulse noise on broadband transmission systems of discrete messages when operating AIS systems on inland waterways of the Russian Federation. Differences in the use of broadband and narrowband information transmission systems have been explored. Also, the stronger influence of impulse noise on broadband radio communication systems is mathematically proven.
