Abstract

The paper studies a new near-field optical scanning probe based on symmetric dipole SPP resonance structure, and presents the physical model and fundamental principles. It analyzes the scanning detection results of the probe to 100nm gold film square hole by Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) method. The study shows that its resolution and sensitivity are greatly improved, compared to the ordinary optical fiber probe under the same condition. The study also shows that the closer to the sample of a probe, the higher resolution and sensitivity.
