Abstract

The efficacy of the application of botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) and hyaluronic acid (HA) as minimally invasive treatments in facial rejuvenation has been previously demonstrated. The local side effects most frequently observed are pain, swelling, erythema, and bruising. In spite of the limited and benign nature of these events, they usually cause discomfort for the patient who is looking for aesthetic improvement.
