Abstract
In this paper, we show how to construct acoustic Green's functions for a water column atop an infinite elastic seabed using a generalization of the method by Ahluwalia and Keller.6Our goal is to obtain a representation of the acoustic Green's function which is valid in the near field. Such a representation is useful in the investigation of the inverse shape problem using the methodology we pioneered for waveguides with reflecting seabeds.
