Abstract

We described a method to measure near-field microwave intensity by employing a point detector based on thermoacoustic effect, and have succeeded in achieving microwave field distribution of a rectangular waveguide. Furthermore, the obtained microwave radiant energy distribution was employed to obtain the microwave absorption coefficient distribution. Finally, the present measurement method was used to debug the radiation of the high-power microwave antenna, demonstrating its possible application in microwave power detection.
