Abstract

The feedback linearizing control of brushless DC motors (BLDCMs) in the presence of magnetic saturation and reluctance variations is considered. A nonlinear control law is presented, and its effectiveness subject to modeling errors and external disturbances is investigated. Some practical issues related to the real-time implementation of the control method are addressed. Due to the chosen structure of the BLDCM mathematical model, the derived control method is computationally simple. >
