Abstract

Examples of full scale simulations of wave propagation through fiber reinforced composites are presented and from these the formations of stop bands in the response spectra are observed. The variations in the cut-off and recovery frequencies of the stop bands due to changes in the microstructural parameters of the composite suggest a useful tool in NDE.
