Women who experience nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy may have a reduced risk of pregnancy loss, a prospective study published in JAMA Internal Medicine has shown.1 Nausea, with or without vomiting, is reported by as many as 80% of women during pregnancy. Much of the published literature has reported on studies that enrolled women after a clinically recognised pregnancy, so they did not include women with early pregnancy losses, or they relied on retrospective collection of data on nausea and vomiting symptoms. …
